Applying course content in practice, expanding your own knowledge and introducing practical examples into lectures – students who combine their semesters of study with practical placements can benefit from this. Whether through a working student job, internship, practical semester or as part of a thesis. If you also share our passion for technical perfection, you should apply to us immediately. As a prospective engineer specializing in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or mechatronics or as a computer scientist, you have the best opportunities with us. Committed students from other fields are of course also welcome.

At RAPA, you will gain a wide range of insights into the everyday life of a medium-sized family business that operates in the automotive industry, medical technology and modern industry.

Internship

Prepare yourself for your studies or use the know-how you have already acquired to choose a specialization. We offer students on a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program individual internships in our company. This will give you an insight into the actual working world and company processes during your studies. As well as the opportunity to establish contacts and networks and lay the foundations for your future career at RAPA.

Working hours are based on the company’s regulations and are 40 hours per week. The exact distribution can be individually coordinated.

In the case of a compulsory internship, the university determines the duration of the internship. In the case of a voluntary internship, you can agree the duration with the HR department – usually between 3 and 6 months. Incidentally, the start of an internship is not tied to fixed times, but is possible at any time.

Many of our departments offer internships for students. The selection of the relevant position should depend on your major field of study and your interests.

There is no general entitlement to an internship allowance. Information on a possible internship allowance can be obtained from the HR department.

Working student activity

Bei RAPA können Sie Praxisluft schnuppern. Wir bieten Werkstudententätigkeiten in folgenden Bereichen an: Forschung & Entwicklung, Konstruktion, Fertigung, Informationstechnologie, Marketing und in kaufmännischen Bereichen. Voraussetzung ist eine Immatrikulation an einer Hochschule. Neugierde und großes Engagement sollten Sie mitbringen. Von uns erhalten Sie Einblicke in unsere betrieblichen Abläufe und arbeiten mit erfahrenen Kollegen und Kolleginnen an konkreten Projekten zusammen. Falls wir uns nach Ihrem Studium wieder gegenüber sitzen, finden wir das umso besser.

The maximum weekly working hours during lecture periods are 20 hours per week. The exact distribution can be individually coordinated. Up to 40 hours per week are possible during the semester break.

You can start as a working student at any time. The duration can be set individually.

As a working student, you can get to know different working environments and support our teams on a day-to-day basis. There is something for everyone at RAPA, whether technical, commercial or operational. If no suitable vacancy is advertised in the department, please send us an unsolicited application.

Thesis

Bachelor’s or Master’s thesis

Are you planning to write your Bachelor’s or Master’s thesis with a practical focus? If you already have a fascinating topic that you would like to work on in the context of our company, we look forward to receiving your unsolicited application with a proposed topic and timeframe. We are particularly interested in work and research projects in the fields of mechanical engineering, mechatronics, precision engineering, hydraulics, pneumatics or electrical engineering.

Our recruiting team will carefully check whether and in which specialist area implementation is possible. The preparation of the thesis is usually linked to an internship in the relevant specialist department. Here you have the opportunity to familiarize yourself intensively with your chosen topic, supported by experienced team members.

Our fascinating projects span the automotive, industrial and medical sectors and offer you the unique opportunity to experience everyday working life with us at first hand.
