After almost 25 successful years at RAPA and as Managing Director of the industrial and medical technology division, Reinhard Schlechte will take his well-deserved retirement in August 2023. He was duly honored at a farewell ceremony a few days ago. Reinhard Schlechte will be succeeded by Jörg Manzer.

Jörg Manzer, who has held a management position within the RAPA Group since 2019, will take over the sole management of RAPA Healthcare & Industry from August 2023. As the youngest division of RAPA, RAPA Healthcare strives to establish itself as a reliable and innovative development and production partner for the medical technology and medical device sector in the long term. With his many years of experience and expertise, Jörg Manzer will drive this strategy forward together with his dedicated team and win new customers for RAPA.

Reinhard Schlechte has been in charge of the medical technology division since 2019 and has played a key role in the growth of RAPA Healthcare. As a highly respected expert, he was always present with customers and suppliers.

“We would like to thank Reinhard Schlechte from the bottom of our hearts for his outstanding achievements and many years of service at RAPA. His commitment and leadership skills have contributed significantly to the company’s success,” emphasized Karin Wolf, member of the Management Board.

The soon-to-be retiree is looking forward to the time to come – without an appointment calendar and professional commitments. Although he doesn’t have any concrete plans yet, he is attracted by the freedom of being able to structure his working days himself. “But I have always enjoyed my work and am very grateful to RAPA as a medium-sized employer,” says Reinhard Schlechte. In his almost 25 years with the company, he has greatly appreciated the feeling of belonging to the “RAPA family”. “RAPA has always been a special place for me. I got things started – now my successor will see them through.”

The change at the top of RAPA Healthcare marks the start of a new chapter for the company. Jörg Manzer is ready to continue the successful development and further position the company as a strong partner in the medical and healthcare technology sector.

RAPA Healthcare

RAPA Healthcare is the internationally renowned medical technology brand of the RAPA Group based in Selb, Bavaria. The company specializes in the customer-specific development and series production of valve components, fluid management systems and high-precision micropumps for the global medical technology market. The broad product portfolio is complemented by smart services, such as specially developed electronics and corresponding control software, resulting in a mechatronic modular system for intelligent valves that offers holistic and optimally coordinated integration solutions.

Through continuous investment in innovative technologies and a strong research and development department, RAPA Healthcare sets standards in the industry. RAPA demonstrates unsurpassed expertise in the areas of microfluidics, media separation and mini-hydraulics in particular. RAPA Healthcare products play a crucial role in the manufacture of medical and laboratory equipment as well as in analytical measurement technology and biomedicine. They optimize the media flow, precisely control gases and liquids, meter the flow and regulate the pressure. This enables medical products such as anaesthesia and respiratory equipment, dialysis machines, infusion pumps, cleaning and sterilization technology and dental technology to meet the highest requirements and achieve the best possible results in practice. One example of this is the valves for dialysis machines that the market leader Fresenius Medical Care has been using for over 30 years. The company has all the necessary approvals and certifications for the medical market, including the important EU-harmonized ISO 13485 standard.

As part of the RAPA Group, RAPA Healthcare benefits from a broad range of industries and can draw on valuable experience and knowledge from various sectors. Under the leadership of Jörg Manzer, RAPA Healthcare is at the forefront of technological progress and drives innovation.
